What Is Integrated Functional Psychiatry?
Integrated functional psychiatry is a comprehensive mental healthcare approach that combines integrative-functional medicine with conventional psychiatry. From your existing medication profile, to your nutrition and metabolic dynamics, we take your total health into consideration. The advantage of this unique approach is that providers at Integra can assess and treat the underlying causes of your symptoms. Treating the underlying causes of symptoms often produces better outcomes and hope for recovery.

The integrative mental healthcare approach uses complementary therapies that include addressing psychological, physical, and spiritual aspects of mental health. It incorporates practices such as nutrition, lifestyle changes, and mind-body techniques.

The functional mental healthcare approach is an individualized patient-centered approach that focuses on balancing the body’s biology and systems to treat the underlying causes of mental health symptoms. Treatment focuses on comprehensive evaluation that includes personalized testing of biological factors that leads to discovery of root cause of presenting symptoms.
